Title: Slow Top Speed
Post by: larrylindberg on December 03, 2015, 01:31:14 PM
I have a K-4 Pacific with DCC and Sound.  The top speed is VERY slow.  Is there a CV setting to increase top speed?  Also how can i reset the loco as I can't change CV's such as whistle volume or bell volume.  Thanks

Are you running it on a DC layout? If so this is normal as a DCC  sound decoder takes around 6V on DC before it will turn the motor. You're then left with about a 6V range for speed control. If you have a DCC system what is the system?   Joe

cv 5 volts max,cv 212motor control intensity. You can go to the Soundtraxx site for the full list for Bachmann factory sound on board locos.
Always amazed how some take the time to answer a question without even reading it .Obviously there is a dcc system involved when cv adjustments are asked and there is a dcc and sound  Loco question. The holidays are upon us, earlier for some.
