Title: Old 6607 PP
Post by: Bernie D on December 14, 2015, 09:46:18 AM
???Can they be hard wired as to the red power  to track line with regular clip on? I bought one and the picture shows no screws, from the photo angle.it is claimed to be older version but new/in box pp. Can I just splice a EZee track red wire the existing red wire.?
thanks Bernie

What is the difference between a 6607 and a 6609?

The 6607 was marketed for HO and N use. It should have 4 output screws, 2 for DC track power and 2 for AC accessory power. The 6609 was intended for G trains and only has 2 output screws for DC track power. There is no AC accessory output

So the 6609 could still be used for HO"S Right?
I guess the picture of the 6607 has the screws ,but the angle just doesn't show it. All i need to do is take off the exiting rd wire and put on the Easy Track.
Thanks

The 6609 could be used for HO, just be careful not to crank it up to full voltage. A lot of the newer locos can morph into 'crispy critters' if you hit them with much over 12VDC.
