How do I reduce the sound volume on my Spectrum 2-4-4. Is it done through the E-Z Command unit using the fuction button and numbers or other method.I am totally confused by the cd rom instructions. This my first experience with Digital sound

EZ-Command programs the engine number and nothing else.  To reduce chuff volume you will need a more complete DCC system. Sorry.  :'(

The thing about a good sound decode, like Tsunami or QSI is that you have a complete spectrum of CVs, and that control is one.  Don't forget guys; you will get what you pay for, and if you buy a "cheap" decoder, that is what you will have, and there is no cussing the manufacturerw, because you probably have a really good quality rig, it is just that you cannot get twenty-mule capability out of one pony.
