Title: Next DCC Function
Post by: sour rails on November 20, 2007, 08:58:43 PM
I have given this a lot of thought and I think that in addition to sound, there should be a function for uncoupling cars from the engines.  It would require a geared coupler box and coupler, but I think it would be awesome.  At least for the time being, restrict it to the locomotive, but maybe sometime expand it for uncoupling cars in the middle of the train.

Anyway, this is just my idea.  Anyone else have an idea for a new function? 8)

It would be nice to give direct links when suggesting an idea.

"Now, the world's most prototypically-accurate locomotive model ever produced, complete with the most advanced DCC functions ever concieved, including the exclusive random engine fire function! The new HO scale EMD FL-9...only from TYCO!"
:D Now, we can finally have an FL-9 that operates prototypically.

     And I thought I had a new idea. :( :(

Gene,
The only reason I would want to know how much it would cost is if I were planning to build one.
