Title: Curve radius on DD40AX?
Post by: CPRailHelmet on July 24, 2016, 04:12:04 PM
I'm thinking about buying the DD40AX by Bachmann. Could somebody tell me the radius that is recommended for that locomotive? I have 24" curves on my layout. Please and thank you! :)

Just by way of general information, the tightest curve the prototype operated on was 16 degrees, or 359.26' radius. In N-scale that would be roughly 27" radius, but 24" should be 'close enough'.
