Title: 0 -6- 0 steam switcher - very old design from 1980's
Post by: fordman53 on August 19, 2016, 08:45:19 PM
I have a very old 0-6-0 switcher in great shape with the upright flat motor, but the drive wheels in the center have come loose, and need replacement.  Will the older first design listed in the parts section work as a replacement for the drive wheel design of the older model.  It ran fine, but now the wheels need to go.  Any suggestions?

Seriously,

For less than $30 including shipping, you can get a used Bachmann 0-6-0, with a newer drive.

You will spend more than that trying to fix the old loco you describe. Just an opinion.

Regards,

Jonathan

Get the new one , keep the old one for a parts mine, and get a spare tender for a future project.  Or to sell.
