Title: Santa Fe 4-8-4 modifications
Post by: RGW on August 24, 2016, 10:16:53 PM
I just was testing this engine to sell it,but I started working on it to see if I could make it look better.
Added cylinder detail , painted the and re gauged the  wheels ,  lowered the tender height by sanding down the truck bolsters, added dummy coupler to the pilot.

This thing really needs tender pickup.   Possible up graded 4-8-4 in the future Bachmann?

Agreed.
Added tender pick-up to mine by bashing a Spectrum medium chassis, sans circuit board, and shortening a Con-Cor GS-2 tender body.
Difference in performance is amazing.

If I was keeping it I would add tender pick ups.
