Title: GG-1 Question
Post by: spookshow on November 19, 2016, 01:43:02 PM
In the list of features for the N scale GG-1, Bachmann states "twin operating metal pantographs that can be powered by overhead wire if desired". Was this a copy/paste error from the feature list for the HO version? In looking at my N scale GG-1, I don't see any electrical connectivity between the pantographs and the locomotive PC board.

Thanks,
-Mark

Thanks, Bach-man. Not trying to stir up any trouble here, just hoping for some clarification.

The N scale GG1 does not have this option.

I see that the feature list for the N scale GG-1 has been corrected to no longer list the pantographs as being powerable. You might also want to amend the feature list for the DCC-Ready GG-1's. Currently it states "soft white LED directional headlights with dimming function", however this only applies to the DCC-Sound version. The headlights on the DCC-Ready version are non-directional (insofar as both ends are fully lit when current is present). And of course there is no dimming function without a decoder installed.
