Title: HO - Winter Thyme Express, Train set
Post by: Pallie on October 25, 2018, 10:41:39 AM
I inherited a train set HO scale, (Frank's Winter Thyme Express by Bachmann)

I am interested in knowing how much it might cost to repair the locomotive?
The train starts, runs, all lights are on and I do not believe there is any issues with the engine.

The wheel got their black grip on them, but I believe one set of the wheels are not aligned correctly and it keeps derailing
It is almost like the backwheels are a millimeter to wide  - how much would something like that cost to repair?

Is it even worth the time?

Attached (hopefully) a picture of the underside of the train. If that can help you out.

Thank you for your time!

You inherited it? Yet the image is an EBay hosted pic? Ok.

Call Bachmann service and talk to Laura. She will explain your options and cost. Bachmann tends to replace rather than repair.

Good luck!

Sid

yea, I am the seller of the train lol

The eBay buyer wants a refund as the item is derailing ... even if description says it already.

So - I am using my hosted pic instead of running over to a image hosting place :P

Sry if that confused you!

And thank you for the information.
