Title: EZ Track Switches
Post by: BobZ on June 01, 2019, 07:15:11 PM
I have a fairly large HO layout using EZ Track. I'd like to setup all turnouts to be remotely activated. I looked at using the Bachmann Green Wire extensions to reach the turnouts but the cost is prohibitive ($10 for a 10' extension). I have 30+ turnouts. I'd like to make my own extensions. Does anyone know of wire connectors that will work with the very small wire gauge used by Bachmann? I've tried the standard connectors sold by Lowes/Home Depot/hardware stores/etc that are rated for 22 ga wire but the crimp doesn't always hold tight.

Do away with the crimp style connectors and just solder everything. Insulate with shrink tube and good to go.
