Title: Ho 4-4-0 Baldwin
Post by: Album on November 15, 2019, 07:06:36 PM
Has anyone  ever  installed  a tender light on a ho 4-4-0 Baldwin with sound? I tried. I wired positive  to blue and  negative  to yellow. The light  stays  on all the time. I call soundtraxx told me cv33 to 1 cv34 to 2. But that  didn't  work. And ideas???

Are you using a DCC model with the factory sound board, or an aftermarket SoundTraxx decoder?

Assuming you're speaking of the Sound Value 4-4-0 Bachmann is currently selling, What they told you is correct.

CV 33 is the headlight, and 34 is the backup light.  Position 1 is typically the headlight and position 2 is the backup light.  I beleive zero disables the selected lights.

It's also possible that the decoder is internally wired to illuminate the headlight in both directions, I've seen that on other locomotives with no backup light..
