Hello All,
. . . . I have a Spectrum 4-6-0 Item No. 84901 that has slipped quarter and broken the the drive gear. I am trying to figure out if this is a Baldwin or Standard 4-6-0 Locomotive. I need this information so that I can order the proper drivers for it. Can someone please help me? The next question is where can I get these parts if Bachmann doesn't get any more in?
GOD Bless and Thanks,

You'll probably need to buy a new mechanism. When you do that you don't have to disassemble anything, you get a fresh start mechanically, and you get to keep the old mechanism for parts. All around better deal in my opinion.
To answer your question as to what it is, it's a Baldwin.

Terry,
. . . . That is the information that I needed. I appreciate it. Trainman I understand about what to get. I do appreciate the help.

Your engine is the older version with separately applied details, which makes it after mechanism replacement a much nicer model than the present one with molded on piping.
