Title: price, track radius, dimensions od lay-out?
Post by: Rich S on December 07, 2020, 04:52:07 PM
Dear Bach Man, I purchased the HO scale Pacific Flyer for a Christmas gift.  Three questions:  price of e-z tracks - remote turnout-left, remote turn-out right, and 18" radius curved track; curved track in train set is 18" radius; dimensions of lay-out on back of train set box in lower right hand corner?  Thank you.  Rich S

Sounds like you're talking about the EZ-Track 'Expander Pack' used to enlarge the basic circle of track that comes with the set.

Rich S. - Are you talking about the second one down in the picture? That's what is on the back of the box in the lower right of some sets. With the 18" radius curves a circle will be 38" wide from the edge of the track. If you add two 9" straight sections (two on each side), it will be 56" long. For every straight that you add to the layout (to lengthen it), just add 9". It follows also that, if you add half straights, just add 4 1/2" to the length. The straight legs of the turnouts are 9" also.
That means the second layout in the picture is 38" X 56"
