Title: Older Bachmann track : nickel or steel ?
Post by: Slomopiot on December 31, 2020, 02:57:18 PM
Veteran Bachmannians : In the course of clearing out some of my junk, I've come across some older pieces of Bachmann-branded track that are silver with black ties. Does anyone know if this is nickel-silver or is it just plain steel ?

Thanks folks !

The roadbed color is what's important to this question.

I know that Atlas code 100 is black but that's for both their brass & nickel. This is older stuff that I'm trying to determine if it's just plain steel.

This is non roadbed track? It's either brass or steel. They're easy to tell apart.

Brass & steel, yes. Steel & nickel maybe not so much. But if I understand, Bachmann never made nickel track - just plan steel?
