Title: HO Train Layout Help
Post by: esing on January 03, 2021, 07:48:08 AM
Hi All,

I'm very new to all of this and purchased HO EZ track for my son.  I built a 4X8 table and just want to build a simple oval with two turn ins- one on each end.  One turn in ends up with a stop at a bumper and works fine.  The other one allows the train, at the other end of the table to cut in (turn in).  I am having trouble creating the turn ins as the radius I have isn't lining up properly.  I am looking for any suggestions on how to build this so he can start using the train set.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you

Sounds like you might have bought this track in separate unrelated pieces and packages.  Train sets usually have the correct ones included.  Randomly acquired ones may not line up perfectly.  While being an ingenious design,  EZ track's limitations include entrapment in a rigid geometry.

The radius of each curved section is embossed underneath.  Make sure they are all the same.  Take some photos of the entire misaligned oval and post them there.  Someone will be able to figure it out.

If you want to add a photo, look in the General Discussions forum. I posted a section called, Posting Photos. Different Photo Editing places for adding photos to forums.
Good luck. Many are free.
Down in General Discussion forum there are instructions but it is dated.
