I have a small trolley that I want to run around my HO layout. I am trying to use some 15" radius track that I have. Only the trolley will be rolling around on this Figure 8 that I am trying to build with Bachmann EZ track NS. Does anyone have a layout for a simple figure 8 using 15" radius track? Greatly appreciate the help.
It can be done, with some minor filing of some rail ends. This is the basic layout:

The 2in & 3in straights on each side of the crossing give a total of 5in's, but what's actually needed is 4.94in's. A bit of light filing on the rail ends without rail joiners on the 2in and 3in sections will create enough space to prevent the track from binding when assembled. You shouldn't have to do anything to the 9in straight sections unless you want a little extra wiggle room.
