Post by: Cortland on January 01, 2008, 10:51:30 AM
For three years the "Bach-Man" has been promising DCC switches.  Well, where are they?

Dear Cortland,
Your dealer should have them now.
Have fun!

Can I run them with your EZ controller?

The stores that handle Bachmann products in between Albany and Buffalo know nothing about, nor have heard anything digital switches.

Does this mean that using DCC turnouts with and EZ Command will limit you to 8 DCC turnouts and 8 DCC locomotives on a layout?

Dear Gene,
No, eight switches and nine locomotive addresses. For more of either, you'll need a more advanced system, like Dynamis, MRC, NCE, Lenz, etc.
Have fun!

Dear B-man,
Isn't address ten for DC only?  Or can address 10 run either DC or DCC?  This is just curiosity.  I use Digitrax.

Dear Gene,
Address 10 will control an analog loco. If you daisy chain an analog speed control between the power supply and the EZ Command you can use address 10 for DCC.
Have fun!
