Title: Tandem speed controller/EZ-Command controller

Can someone explain how the "Tandem analog speed controller/EZ-Command controller" setup works - variable DC biasing the overlaid DCC signal? Does this change the DC motor overheating problem? Thanks for any information that can be provided.
