Dear Mr Bachmann. is it possible to use the tender from the new 0-6-0 #53804 on a 2-8-0 Tender Chassis. I ask this as there are a few 2-8-0 that have this style Tender Body. most notably the DM&IR C3 and K class Locomotives of which #332 is operational at the Duluth Railroad Museum.
Dear CL,
If you mean swapping shells, I'm sure you can do it, but some mods may be necessary.
If you try it, let us know how it comes out.
Good luck!
the Bach-man
You can get the entire tender at the parts store.

The Cotton Belt 2-8-0's had similar tenders.
This is what he is looking for. The one in the parts store (406) doesn't look like that.

The 0-6-0 tender looks more like what he wants.

That one approximates tenders behind several MP Spot Class 2-8-0's, although a little long and low. I'd like to have a couple of those tenders, myself, to go behind a couple of my spot classes. Bachmann used to sell separate tenders, and I keep hoping for the day when they will do it again. All of them go for astronomical prices on eBay, and I hope that the Bach Man takes note.
