Title: Tsunami Short Whistle
Post by: scotthight on January 05, 2008, 05:17:58 PM
By default, the Tsunami sound decoder in my Bachmann Consolidations toots twice when I press F3. I would like to change this to one toot. Is there a CV for that? I cannot find anything in the Tsunami manuals.

F3 is the default short whistle and should only produce one short blast, do not believe there is a CV that will change this, which brand of throttle are you using ?

Good Morning All,

Interesting question.   I have several Tsunami decoders,  and the short whistle function has only ever produced one toot.   By any chance are you auto sounds enabled?   That would produce two toots as the engine starts forward.

I use Lenz as my controller and I have set the CVs so there is no whistle upon starting or stopping. I'm going to check to see if F3 is 'latched'. Thanks for the feedback!

On my NCE system, F3 is either on or off, unless the function refresh for F3 is on in the system. Probably a function of the system.
