Title: Al Judy
Post by: Terry Toenges on August 04, 2024, 11:54:58 AM
I guess some of you might be familiar with Al Judy who runs a Facebook On30 page. He recently passed away. He was one of the premier On30 modelers and scratch builders.

Sorry to hear about Al Judy, Terry. I have seen some of Al's work and it was impressive. He will be missed.

A few decently noted modelers have passed recently.
Let's face facts; this is still an 'old man's hobby'.
I was born in 1969 and when I go to model train events, I'm usually the youngest there by many years.

Sorry for the loss. I too have seen posted material of Al's work. p51 has a point. Born in 60 I find people older than myself still very enthusiastic about Model Railroading. Starts when we are young takes hold and stays with us. While at a Narrow Gauge Symposium in Houston years ago I found out from Al Roos that a Modeler I admired very much Bob Clarke, had past away. I had no idea till then. I still have the issue of MR showcasing his HOn3 version of the Ironhead Timber layout. Great people in a fine Hobby. God's speed Al.
