Title: Replacing burnt-ot hay cab light

How do I replace a burnt-out cab light on a LS 38 Ton Shay engine?
.  I can get the cab loose, but am unable to emov ethe ab from the body of the engine.

It's probably either a very tight friction fit or possible an errant molecule of misdirected model cement.

Try using slightly more insistent "encouragement" , maybe even slipping in some blade like a table knife to add a little leverage.  If there was a screw holding it on , certainly it was applied separately.  Although before doing anything, you should very, very carefully examine to make sure there's not a second screw somewhere that needs to be undone.
