Title: Manual switches on turnouts/ DC/DCC
Post by: lllair2002 on November 29, 2025, 05:10:38 PM
Can electronic switches be switched manually? Also can DC trains be run by DCC controller? My grandson is seven and he loves his trains. I want to get him more track and I was thinking about getting him the E Z command plus controller but I need to be sure it will work with his trains. He has the coastliner starter set. I got him a Gordon and he wants a Big Boy or a similar one

Hi Illair,

Our remote/DCC turnouts have a manual switch on them to throw them by hand.

You can operate DC trains on the E-Z Command Plus using address zero. We advise to limit the amount of time running DC locomotives on DCC, however. They are not designed to be operated at constant voltage for extended periods of time.
