Title: Spectrum J Class 4-8-4 Aux Tender
Post by: JimL on January 09, 2026, 04:13:52 PM
I recently purchased used, a Spectrum J Class 4-8-4 Norfolk and Western locomotive. Bachmann item 82105.
It was supplied in what I believe to be the original box with a foam insert cut out to fit the locomotive/tender. There is also a cut out below that which looks like space for an auxiliary tender, which did not come with it.
My question is, what would be the item number of the correct auxiliary to go with it. I have seen a couple of different ones in the marketplace but, not sure what is correct. Or, did that one not come with the auxilliary and they just used the same box insert.
Thank you

If both of those tenders you saw have couplers on both ends, what difference does it make?  I've seen one online with Horn hook couplers which means a very old model. You may have to replace the couplers, but that would probably be it.
