I have a 1:20.3 connie and am.missing the back lever rod for uncoipling the back side of tender .
There are none in stock with bachmann currios if anyone has one ?
Also I sure wish bachmann would make some.new runs of 1:20.3 engines and rolling stock or reruns . The hobby needs it bad

I think large scale parts from Bachmann are going to become scarcer and scarcer as time goes on. New large scale engines seem rather unlikely as well due to never making price point on all the ones they made in the past. What is truly surprising is that Lee Riley managed to get them to produce so many different engines, and continually upgrade the ones being produced, back in the 1990s, on into the early 20-teens, such that we are soooooooo very lucky any of that happened at all!!!
I've been thinking about writing up a sort of retrospective of all that, along with some of the problems encountered along the way, most of which were likely not Bachmann's fault, but rather that of their supply chain members. However, every time I do really think about it, I find the prospect to be rather daunting, and of limited interest in any case!?!?
Your best bet is to bend a new one up from brass rod, using the other one as a template, then blacken or paint. i forget the size but i think it is a common one. as long as you still have the molded stanchions that the lever clips into you should be good.

Traditionally, Kader (manufacturer, and owner of Bachmann) only makes spare parts at time of a production run.
(things like common gears and couplers are exceptions)
As the production runs have decreased, so is parts availability ....just a sign of the size of the market.
Hi Terry, If you have the broken pieces, some of our members can re-engineer the part for 3d printing. Al is one of them, but using brass rod is the definitive low cost way of doing it as he suggests.
3D printing is the future for making parts for many of the Bachmann long out of production locomotives.
