Has anybody got any good reviews abut this set? is there any thing I should look out for and handy tips? :)
its been a while since i've bought anything bachmann but this is the 1st time i've bought a Spectrum set, so I thought I'd start this hobby again since i have some spare cash!
thanks
Leon
Here's my website where the Bachmann Spectrum Acelas run alongside other electric models.

thanks for the reply.
how do the doors open on the train itself? do the passenger cars have opening doors?
The doors on the locomotives are spring-loaded, so you need to manually push them open. The doors on the passenger cars don't open.

If you add to the set to make the full 6 car consist, it runs better if both locomotives are powered.
One will pull it OK, but has a tendancy to lag on hills.
I have two complete sets, and One extra power unit I picked up on ebay. I plan on getting another power unit sometime this summer so both have the same performance.

Actually, it "likes" to go really fast. :D
It rides so smoothly. :o I love it.
