Title: EZ Track #5 Left Hand Switch
Post by: nemo343 on May 10, 2008, 01:48:46 PM
I recently purchased a #5 Left hand switch to create a yard on my layout.
I received the switch with an additional small piece of track and was advised to also purchase a 1/2 22 Deg radius curve to ensure the track would go parallel.
When I tried to snap the track together I found that at the joint I could not put 2 pieces together because of the ballast.
I am wondering whether in this case I have to cut the ballast to snap both sides onto the switch.
Surely someone else has had to deal with this before.
Appreciate a quick reply...thanks
Joe

The 2 1/4" straight E-Z track piece has a snap-off line scored under the roadbed. Snap-off part of the straight piece roadbed for fit to turnout roadbed.

The 12 deg 33 1/3" radius track works better than the 1/2 22" to make a paralelle section.
