Title: Spectrum 4-4-0 headlight problem
Post by: garyraizes on May 31, 2008, 12:42:40 PM
Hello all, I have a new spectrum Richmond 4-4-0 with factory equipped DCC and no headlight function.  as per printed instructions F10 is supposed to operate the headlight rather than F0.  In any event, it doesn't work.  Before I take it apart and start playing with the LED (or lamp), just wanted to see if anyone had similar problems or suggestions?  Thanks inadvance.

Function f10 is supposed to control the headlight only if you are using E-Z Command as your command station.  If you use any non-Bachmann brand command station, the headlight will be operated by f0, as per NMRA standards.

Thanks, Jim, unfortunately, F0 doesn't work either.  I am using a Digitrax super chief system.

Have you tried running this engine on DC to check if the headlight works? Could be a faulty light.
