I love the Thunderbolt 1000Ts... Anyone know what material he used to make it? I wanted to try shaping or modeling some other sirens for my layout, after all, Thunderbolts were made in the 1940s. And I could always make some other sirens. Just don't for get the logo!

Hey I grew up in the City when they actually did air raid drills. I was in elementary school when they made us climb under desks. If you are interested in a very amusing video - Google the short film "Duck and Cover." If you do watch it, see if you can spot the young (age 7 or 8) Mia Farrow.
Many of the buildings with sirens also had fall out shelters. I'm sure there are still buildings that have the sirens on the roof; why would an owner pay out his own pocket to remove one?
