Title: Mr. Bach Man RE- 2-10-4s
Post by: TexasChief on August 06, 2008, 11:20:20 PM
A fatal error on Bachmann's part was re-issuing the ATSF 4-8-4 without  a set of traction tires, at least as an extra part. Are you going to make the same mistake with the 2-10-4s as well? If so, you can count me out. Thank you.

I think that Bachman is having a rethink on the 2-10-4. They made one in 1990 and it was a dud so I believe they jumped the gun on this one.

Dear Chief and Grumpy,
The 2-10-4 is a great looking loco and it does not have traction tires. It will prove to be very popular, and you may both change your minds. If not, there are plenty of other locos for you yo choose.
Have fun!

You don't see a Daylight with traction tires, although they do make for no more wheel slips.

Mr. Bachman
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. In other words get them out so we can try them ; words and pictures are not proof.
