Dear Mr. the Bach-man
I and a few members of a club I started want to run a few Shawmut Line trains at a model show. We are trying to find some 50 and 100 ton hopper cars. We were wondering if you made any or know anyone who makes them. I was also wondering if you had any Shawmut Line cabooses. I plan to run 50 cars behind a set of 2 Sw9's, another set of Sw9's, and a set of 2 Sw9's and a GP7 so I need 150 cars total. If you can help please do.
Atlas makes cabeese, and Bowser ran P&S hoppers. I've been told they did over 30 roadnumbers. A search of the Product Section reveals no Shawmut Equipment. As for finding cars with 150 different road numbers, you'll have to decal them yourself...
Dear Shawmut,
We haven't made any P&S equipment. Try the Walthers catalog for similar cars, which you'll likely have to letter yourself.
One I do know of is here:

Have fun!

Thanks Mr. the Bach-man and Guilford Guy.
Bowser still has 2 numbers available @ $13.95 list - stock numbers 55154 & 55106. They could be renumbered as needed. You might try Champ (Champion) Decals for number sizes. Both companies have websites. I believe Mocroscale also made P&S hopper decals but they were on a sheet with several other railroad's cars.
This is a link to CDS dry transfers, a type of decal, that can be used on 8 or 9 bay 55 ton hopper.

This bowser hopper would work.

You could check the Bowser site. http://www.bowser-trains.com/hocars/100t3bay/100t3bay.htm (http://www.bowser-trains.com/hocars/100t3bay/100t3bay.htm)
Another link to 100 ton Shawmut cars.

Both Bowser and Bessemer Hobbies, selling Bowser rolling stock, have stock of Pittsburg and Shawmut hopper cars. The 55 ton fish belly hopper is going to be a bit more work. The Bowser site also shows a 70 ton hopper in Pittsburg and Shawmut. I've used the CDS dry transfers on some O-scale Atlas hoppers. The car behind engine 234 has CDS dry transfer decals.
