Title: Will the old metroliner shells fit on an proto rdc?

Yes, but you might want to buy the NWSL speed-up gearing kit for it. Out of the box, the RDC runs WAY too slow for a Metroliner. Even with the kit it will still be too slow, but it will be something like 80 scale mph as opposed to 40 mph.
