LGB's pickups work fine--like the Bachmann trucks were made for them.  There appaear to be two lengths--I find the shorter ones have less drag.  gj

You can get the USAT plunger type pick ups from Charlie Ro but better yet I would use a couple of AristoCraft ball bearing wheel sets with the power pick up tabs. No drag with those babies.

Before you try the other options you could give service a call and see if they have any.   The passenger cars with the track pickups are still in production, so their might be a chance.

Both other methods work fine and if you cars have the battery box underneath, are probably easier to do.

Stick with the Batteries, the lights don't go out when you stop at the Station

thanks everybody for the help. I thought my ho spectrum steam were fun.These are right up there.
