Title: Bachmann E33 and decoder installation
Post by: Penn_senseless on November 02, 2008, 11:47:53 AM
Ive just got one of these sweet spectrum E33 locomotives. What I really like is the switch on the light board to change it to overhead operation.

Anyone tackle putting a decoder into one of these for cantenary operation? Is it a hard wire situation where the light board will have to come out? It runs so well id hate to mess with it like that

You should just be able to plug a decoder right into the 8-pin plug without any modification. I'm not aware that you will have to do any re-wiring for overhead operation.
