Title: help on ez track
Post by: ROSS on November 28, 2008, 09:14:03 PM
Just purchased a starter set for the madison central track plan.  It came with a video and I have followed the track plan but it tells me nothing about how to wire the setup.  I am trying to get it going for my grand daughter for Christmas.  I am running DC.  When I change switch positions will the track on the turnout be powered?  They tell you nothing in the instructions or the video.

Yes. The E-Z track turnouts have electricity on both sets all the time.

After hooking up the Power Pack to the terminal track, you should be good to go. I don't think there are any special instructions, unless you wish to isolate different sidings. EZ Track turnouts are not power routing, so when you throw the points, both tracks will still be powered.

The two way turnout switches must be wired to the AC "accessory" terminals of the power pack, not to the DC track terminals.

After you slide the switch either direction, press down momentarily on the switch lever to activate the turnouts.
