Title: DCC in Big Hauler 4-6-0
Post by: Finescaler on December 31, 2008, 04:56:19 PM
I have just purchased a 4-6-0 and have completed re detailed it to look very similar to NSWGR "C" class loco. I now want to convert this loco to full DCC. I am considering purchasing MRC Universal Stem Decoder, but am at a loss to figure out how to install it and where to start.

Any advice is appreciated - especially if you can provide a URL

Thanks ???

A good place to start for information is George Schreyer's site.

This should get you started.  George has a wealth of information regarding DCC.

I just completed an install of that decoder in a Bachmann Indy which has very similar wiring. Check out this link and feel free to contact me with more questions. I've installed other brands of sound decoders in the Big Hauler, so know something about them too.
