Title: Traveling On30 Layout
Post by: bob mac 52 on January 04, 2009, 04:15:44 PM
Who made the Traveling On30 layout that goes to shows with the Bachmann reps? It's really neat. Are there any Pictures or drawings of the layout?  It's just the right size for my needs as I have the trains but nowhere to run them at this time. I really love the On30 size.

If you are referring to the Riley's Run layout that goes to WGH shows it was built by the Bach Man himself. He has kindly posted a detailed account of building the layout and many photos on the photo gallery on this site seehttp://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/gallery.php?set_albumName=album13&include=view_album.php (http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/gallery.php?set_albumName=album13&include=view_album.php)

I agree, the layout provides much inspiration for any ON30 modeller (and indeed any modeller), once again congratulations Bach Man.

If I recall correctly, the Bachmann On30 display is based on the Woodland Scenics HO layout kit.  The Bach-man made some adjustments to handle the larger On30 equipment, though I don't remember what they were.
