I have a Genisis 2-8-2 mikado that I needed a bolt for the pushrods which I received from Athearn. After putting in the bolt I placed it on the track, but it did not run. I attached wires from the transformer to the orange and dark grey wires from the jst 9 pin plug and it works. What is wrong.
This is just a guess, but on Bachmann locomotive you hade a dummy plug that must be used if
you don't have a decoder. I don't know about a Genisis, but I would think that it would be the
same.
