Title: installing DCC into Spectrum H O K4 4-6-2

   I have just bought a 4 year old K4 in never run shape and I would like to know how to install a DCC  decoder into it ??

If the Spectrum K4 you bought is in fact only four years old, it is DCC ready.

Carefully pull up to remove the jumper plug (maybe 2 3-pin wires instead) from the 8-pin socket located on the PCB in the Tender. Plug in a decoder of your choice. Example of but a few decoders that can the used: Digitrax DZ143PS, DZ125PS, DZ123PS or like decoder for HO use by any other DCC decoder manufacturer that will fit space available.

No 8-pin socket in the Tender, what is the Bachmann Item No. on the box?
