Title: Scene Scapes Trees
Post by: Menneset on January 24, 2009, 07:24:03 PM
Anyone have any tips on removing the "removable" base from the Scene Scapes trees? On the set I have the base is very firm and does not want to budge, I am hesitant to try to force it.

Thanks.

I haven't seen them, but perhaps wire dykes with the flat blade against the base.  Drill a shallow hole and then fill with Elmer's.

Dear Menneset,
I use a pair of pliers to twist them off. Score so far: Bach-man Several hundred   Trees 0 !
Have fun!

Another suggestion is to glue a small straight pin into the truck (after the base is removed). This will allow you to easily secure the tree to your senic material (I use Styrofoam insulation material).
