Title: Peter Witt Decoder
Post by: Wes1 on February 12, 2009, 02:23:11 PM
Hi all,
I just bought a used Peter Witt, and there is no instruction/exploded axon sheet included.  there is however a separate baggie with a 7-pin board included.   i know it's got DCC onboard, and is this the decoder? or just a jumper like some other locos i have?  can anyone tell me where this needs to be for DCC, or send me a scan of the diagram sheet?
thanks
wes

Dear Wes,
The board will replace the decoder if it is removed for analog operation. It will operate fine on analog without removing the decoder, though.
Have fun!

Look in the bottom of the box under the plastic tray that holds the trolley. The instructions are under the tray insert, including an exploded veiw of the trolley. The "plug" in the plastic bag is the dummy plug if you decide to
remove the decoder and run the trolley in DC mode, as I do. Carefully remove the roof, and uplug the decoder and insert the dummy plug in the socket. It only fits one way!
