Mine runs well on 18" curves.  The track work MUST be great though....  I have marginal (almost sloppy) 22" curves, that it also works easily, on...

Although this engine runs on 18" radius curves you will be advised that this engine will not look good, it will look awful negotiating curves that small with all that overhang.

If you have only limited room and can not use larger radius curves consider smaller engines for your layout.  The Spectrum 4-4-0, 4-6-0, 2-8-0 even the 2-10-0.

I had one once and it did not derail but did slow down a bit.

The thing that bothered me most was that the one of the drivers would move in and out slapping the side of the rail even on straight sections. Sent it back to Bachmann and they returned it just like i sent it in. Sent it in again and got a Heavy Mountain replacement.

I would purchase a 2-10-2 again if i was sure it did not slap the rail.

I would like to know if others are also having this problem.

I have a 2-10-2 That runs fine on my 18"curves ,no driver slapping . I have a 2-10-0 that has to fight its way around 18" curves. Maybe I should give it a slap.
