Title: Bachmann EZ mate dcc controller
Post by: rwiseha on February 26, 2009, 08:12:19 PM
I have a Bachmann EZ mate dcc cintrller, that just stopped working. The new engine works on a dc controller-but not on the dcc unit.  Tried the other engine on dcc and now they don't work either.  I have all the correct lights.  Took voltage readings on the track and had .444 volts dc and 18 volts ac
I don.t know if that is normal   Does anyone have any ideas? The number of the controller is 44901/
Thanks

Dear rw,
Try setting CV 8 to 8, which will reset the decoder to factory defaults.
If you have lights on the controller the problem is likely with the decoder.
Have fun!

That was the ticket.  I had bought a used 4-4-0 on ebay, must have had a  operating # greater than 10.  Reset both my engine and all is good.
Thanks,
