Just saw the new "Logging Skidders" at my LHS, and they are really nice. Most logging guys would call them Donkey Engines rather than skidders. Either way, if you have need for a small vertical boiler steam engine with cable winches, these are a great value for about $12 bucks a pair.
I've been admiring these neat cars and did some research on whether or not they were present in the late 19th century...yep, they were! Now all I have to do is convince the Road Superintendant that the Newburgh, Dutchess & Connecticut RR needs one.
