How hard is it to convert a dc loco to dcc, i have always wanted to repair an old loco but all old locos are analog

Below is a link on this subject. Make sure you have a multimeter and follow NMRA wiring standards. Use the meter to find the current of the motor. Some say slipping current, some say locked rotor current at 12 volts DC.
Make sure the motor is isolated from the frame of the motor.

Do a Google search for DCC conversions. You will get many hits.

Sounds like you better do a lot of reading about this subject before attempting. Bob & Jim have posted quite a lot of info concerning this subject. With an older loco, it is definitely not plug and play.
