Title: sound systems
Post by: New ChooChoo on August 07, 2009, 09:27:30 AM
I have been looking for a sound sytem for my Big Hauler. It is a DC operated train. I have heard there is a place in St Clair Shores Michigan that sells them. Anyone know of the place? I also have been looking at MyLocoSound also. Has anyone heard any reviews about this one?

That's Small Scale Railways - http://www.smallscalerailway.com/ (http://www.smallscalerailway.com/)
They have a Huckleberry RR 4-6-0 sound card that should be a good fit. I have one of there other cards which I like. They only thing I would advise is to add extra shielding around the optical sensor for outdoor use.

I have mylocosound and think it is great. Easy to install, and the latest one has a bell and you can alter the sound and pitch of the whistle. Also you can set the rate and volume of "chuff". Hope this helps.
