No they are way to big for N scale, and still pretty big for HO, but they would be okay for O or S scale.

Hotwheels does sell HO scale cars.  You'll find them at all the finer wallyworlds.  They're usually about a buck a piece.  Don't get addicted like I did.

Regular hotwheels and matchboxes are 1/64 scale if memory serves, around S scale as mentioned above.

Jonathan

Yeah, matchbox also makes HO scale cars (as well as a lot of other companies, many not related to model railroading), but I was just assuming he meant "regular" matchbox or hot wheels since he didn't specify, and in many contexts when someone says hot wheels or matchbox car, it generally means any 1:64 scale car regardless of who the manufacturer is, or at least the 1:64 scale variety of said brand.

there were also HO scale cars produced by malibu international, and fresh cherries a couple of years ago. i remember a vw beetle and bus, a gremlin, a pacer, a ford escort and tempo among others produced. there was also a line of nascar cars that you still see at wally werld occasionally.
