Title: Amtrak Centennial Set
Post by: smrhinehart on October 07, 2009, 05:25:16 PM
I picked up this set from an older man, it came with the locomotive and cars but not the track or power pack.  The power pack box has item number ae44-6605.  Can someone point me to where I can get these items?  Thanks.

You may get a track set & a decent power supply at your LHS. You could go with a set of Unitrak.

OK, is the ae44-6605 power pack the same as the 6605?  I have seen some on e-bay and wanted to be sure that it would be compatible.  Thanks.

Any model or brand of power pack will work as long as the regulated DC output is between 0 and 12 volts.
I recommend MRC power packs, they are much better than the "toy" ones that come with train sets....
