Title: 2 or 3 stall engine house.
Post by: Dusten Barefoot on November 15, 2009, 05:33:00 PM
Does anyone one know where I can find a good 2 or 3 stall engine house kit under 150$ dollars? The engine house at Deer Field lasar is excellent, but the ET&WNC Vistibules come first.

Thanks
Dusten

Dusten,

Go to www.deerfieldriverlaser.com and click on O scale products.   Then look for link for O scale railroad buildings.    They have a nice two bay enginehouse kit for $145.00 or just the framing,  where you provide your own siding,  for $85.00.  For the framing kits they sell door and window kits to finish the buildings.   I have built a few of their kits and find them fun,  but their wood can be very fragile so patience is quite necessary.

Well, if you don't mind spending a few more dollars ($10 to be more precise) you can get a three stall round house from the company as listed in the previous message.

I myself have been looking for a two stall stone engine shed but have found none that I like. Thus I have desided to scratch build my own using plaster.

Good luck with your venture!  ;)
