Title: front coupler

Has anyone been able to install a coupler on the front of the doodlebug.

Yes, I mounted a short shank 30 series coupler by enlarging the opening and building a mounting pad from styrene. for more detail than that, I would have to go look at it, since I did that work some time ago.

Correction and additional info:

I used a Kadee #33, I let the box extend through the pilot about 1/8". This was necessary anywhy to get the coupler pin past the pilot. I added a strip of styrene to the inside edge of body to make it thick enought to drill and tap a 2-56 hole for the mounting screw.
